Cyber Scent Work offers the Cyber Sniffing Games which test dog's ability to demonstrate specific hunting skills. One such skill is the dog's ability to successful encounter and ignore distractions as they work to find their hides. This skill is tested in the Dizzying Distractors Game.
In this webinar, we will discuss ways we can train and prepare our dogs to tackle the various "flavors" of the Dizzying Distractors Game including:
- Finding their hides when various sound distractors are present in Interior, Exterior and Container searches.
- Finding their hides when various movement distractors are present in Interior, Exterior and Container searches.
- Finding their hides when various person distractors are present in Interior, Exterior and Container searches.
WHAT OUR CLIENTS ARE SAYING
"It is very detailed. I am always a fan of your wonderful handout's. It's nice to refer to when you are setting up the game or just nice to give you ideas and most importantly that you did it correctly.
This is really a great subject because I have an extremely environmentally sensitive dog. I wish I was taught these distractors in the beginning vs later on. Even though Bogey has come leaps and bounds he still has his moments but recovers quickly and continues searching. Everyone was always so quiet when he searched and I think if we had people, movement and noise in the beginning would have been so helpful. The good thing is I can teach what I learned on the way to others and my students." Terri G.
